Beyonce Knowles has said that 'nothing can describe the feeling' she experienced on first seeing her baby girl, Blue Ivy!

Beyonce, 30, gave birth to baby Blue on January 7, and says that she is 'so excited' at being a mum and getting her daughter home with her and Jay-Z.

It seems the proud dad is determined to be very involved in bringing up baby.

"He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature," Beyonce says, "And since we found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him, I trust him to look after my baby and I and we feel very safe knowing he is there for us."

In an exclusive chat with Star magazine in the US, Beyonce reveals that Jay-Z was with her when she delivered Blue, and has been very involved with her care ever since.

"He will change diapers, of course he will!" Beyonce says, "He is going to be a very hands on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn't love. Love it being there. Love is doing the little things for your child. He wants all of that and he is going to be so good at it."

And as for her own parenting skills, Beyonce says she hopes to be a mother who 'always puts her children first'.

"There are lots of fantastic women out there who hold down jobs and all sorts of other responsibilities whilst also being a good mother," she says, adding that having a big family has always appealed to her and that she would have liked to have had all her kids by the time she is 40.

And it seems there will be no stopping best pal, X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, from muscling in on babysitting and childcare duties, either! "You better try and stop Kelly, she can't wait!" she says, "She has been part of my life since I was 16, and to us she is family."
