A girl created three alter-egos and dressed as a boy to conduct "sexual affairs" with schoolgirls who she was already friends with, a court has heard.
Gemma Barker, 19, from Staines, turned herself into a series of different boys and seduced her friends, who were completely taken in by her disguise. She even created different Facebook accounts for each identity, Guildford Crown Court was told.
Barker, who appeared in court after admitting sexual assault and fraud, changed her identity to "become the boy" one of her friends wanted, according to Chetna Patel, defending.
When one of her victims became suspicious, she reported Barker to police, who eventually discovered the truth. While she was being investigated, the defendant even claimed to have been assaulted by one of her fictional characters, "Luke Jones".
The maximum sentence for sexual assault on indictment is 10 years imprisonment but Barker, who has admitted the charges is facing a possible jail sentence of up to two years for the assaults, the Daily Telegraph said.
Barker, whose defence told the court she is autistic and a "rather lonely character", will be sentenced on 2 March.
The unusual case has provoked mixed reactions on Twitter with one user dubbing the story "weird" and "extraordinary", while another asks: "This story makes me sad - why such deception? Fear?"
