Carey Mulligan Recycles Roland Mouret, Michael Fassbender Pioneers The Shiny/Crumpled Suit

Carey Mulligan was on stylish form for her red carpet appearance the London Film Critics' Circle Awards at the BFI in London last night. The Shame actress wore a scarlet 1930s-style silk dress emblazoned with tulips by Roland Mouret. We're not convinced by those electric blue mega platforms, but seeing as we love the dress so much, we'll let Carey off. Carey is also clearly a fan of this Roland Mouret dress because she has worn it before. Like a Real Person. It makes us like her even more.

Meanwhile, Michael Fassbender - who MyDaily named as one of the best dressed men of 2011 - threw stylish caution to the wind and inexplicably wore a suit that was simultaneously very shiny and very creased. This is one trend we do not plan to get behind in 2012.
