Paris Hilton is getting ready to make her pop comeback with a new album.

The hotel heiress - who released her self-titled debut album in 2006 to mixed reviews - told MTV News she is working on her new record with music producer and DJ Afrojack and has already recorded a track with electro-rap duo LMFAO.

The 30-year-old said: "It's completely different from my last album. I'm going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album. So we've just been coming up with the most incredible tracks. I was just in the studio with RedFoo the other night, so we're going to be doing my new single with LMFAO."

Paris said she's "so excited" about her new music, which will apparently be unveiled later this year.

And she declared that, despite her failure to really make her mark on the music scene so far, she is actually very "musically talented" and can play several instruments.

"I think a lot of people don't know that music is my passion since I was a little girl," said the starlet, who is best known for appearing in reality shows such as The Simple Life and The World According To Paris.
