A Rabbit Eating A Banana (VIDEO)

This is a video of a rabbit eating a banana. In it, a banana is eaten by a rabbit.

The rabbit lies on its back, nibbing away on its owner's lap, as happy anything as we've ever seen ever.

Perhaps even as happy as this dog... or maybe we're going too far. The bunny's not that happy.

We offer up this video to you, HuffPost UK Comedy readers, because it is a Friday. And rabbits are cute. And bananas are tasty. Together, they are uber-cuteness defined. There. Now it's official.

And as we're talking bunnies, here's a baby one, sleeping. Prepare to "Naww..." now.

That's a beautiful classic white rabbit eating the banana, but I offer caution on two things:
1) In this position food becomes a choking hazard. It's not a baby - it's a domesticated rabbit and they normally eat sitting on their haunches usually grazing on grasses and other plants.
2) The other thing is the amount of banana being offered. With the rates of obesity in pet rabbits so high and other medical issues related to too much sugar in their diets, human companions need to be careful about treats. A very small bit of banana is more than enough for a treat (a couple of bites) - granted, it would cut the video a little short. A rabbit has a cecum which is much larger than it's stomach and there is a delicate balance of bacteria to maintain for digestive health. Ingesting too much sugar can create more havoc than obesity. Here's one way to think of it: A rabbit's digestive system is similar to a horse so hays, some leafy greens and very little treats will keep a rabbit as healthy as a horse.
