Sinead O'Connor Pressing Ahead With Tour Dates

The Show WILL Go On

Troubled Irish singer Sinead O'Connor has assured fans her upcoming tour dates will take place as scheduled following her hospitalisation for depression.

The Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker suffered a meltdown earlier this month, revealing in a series of manic Twitter.com posts that she had taken an overdose of pills and had been pleading for help from a psychiatrist.

She also claimed to have attempted suicide twice during her short-lived marriage to Barry Herridge, who she split from just 16 days after their 8 December nuptials.

O'Connor recently checked into a medical centre to seek help for her condition, prompting fans to worry about whether her planned February shows in the US and Britain would take place - but the star is adamant they will.

Asked by a fan on Twitter whether her Los Angeles concert will still be staged, O'Connor replies: "Absolutely! All tour dates going ahead as planned. im doing well thanks."

She is due to kick off her US tour on 20 February at Hollywood Cemetery, before heading to England in March for gigs in cities including Brighton, Bristol and Manchester.
