Costa Concordia: Spooky Scenes Of Abandoned Cabins Amid Search For Missing Bodies (VIDEO)

Eerie footage of divers swimming in the Costa Concordia's underwater cabins show how the cruise liner looks to rescuers as they search for the remaining missing passengers.

Hairdryers float in abandoned cabins, and dining tables are left to rot in silent restaurants as divers carefully pick over the debris left in the ship.

The rescue operation continues for the 15 missing on the ill-fated cruise ship. The operation was halted over the weekend as the ship shifted from its perch on the reef.

The shelf of rock on which the liner rests is a dangerous precipice, as if the boat sinks further down, oil tanks could rupture, causing a major environmental disaster.

The liner carries over 500,000 gallons of fuel which has to be pumped out of the vessel before the wreck can be removed. Just removing the oil could take up to 28 days. However dismantling the ship and removing it from the water could take up until August, another hit for the small island of Giglio, traditionally a popular tourist hot spot for summer holiday makers.

I had read one story which said the captain had run aground on the starboard side and then took the ship out further and turned it around to run it aground closer to shore to make it safer. There was tracking of his exact path, but I do not see this any where else. Does anyone know of this or where I can find it again?
