'Martha Marcy May Marlene' Star Elizabeth Olsen Doesn't Compare Herself With Famous Twin Sisters

'Don't Compare Me With My Sisters'

Elizabeth Olsen reckons there is no need for people to compare her with her famous older twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley.

Elizabeth, 22, has already won critical acclaim for her big-screen debut in indie drama Martha Marcy May Marlene, in which she portrays former cult follower Martha.

"I actually think there's not too much to compare because it's a whole new learning experience for me. It's a totally different experience from what they had," she said.

"Through my eyes, what I think they went through is a transformation. They just channelled their work ethic and their passions in different ways and they succeeded.

"They just did something different from what I do. I only act - that's all I have any intentions of doing."

Elizabeth, who is set to play Edie Parker in John Krokidas' upcoming thriller Kill Your Darlings alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Huston, admitted her passion for acting was ignited from her childhood.

"I was hard to strap down as a kid. I was probably the loudest, so I don't think you could put me under the carpet!" she said.

"When I think back on childhood, I made every person in my family see three musicals a summer that were terrible, from this kids' musical theatre camp. And they all went to every single one. I was not someone who you could push aside."

Martha Marcy May Marlene opens in cinemas on February 3. Watch the trailer below:
