Kylie Minogue has contacted police over a Twitter user who has threatened her.

The Aussie singer alerted them after receiving chilling threats from the 'deluded weirdo'.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote: "I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threat #andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO.. police alerted (sic)."

Followers of the pop princess were quick to jump to her defence with one writing: "Whoever the weirdo is I hope he (I assume its a he) gets what he deserves."

Another wrote: "1,033,861 are now looking for the 1 deluded weirdo. We got your back. Stay sparkly."

She later went on to thank fans for their support, writing: "LOVERS you know who you are!"

It's not the first time Kylie has had to call police over threats. In 2003 police investigated 700 threatening letters sent to her home and office.

In the USA she could buy a taser "electronic control device" for about $500 and carry it around. This weirdo would be receive 50,000 volts if he got anywhere within 15 feet of her. Unfortunately in the UK the right of self-preservation has been taken away by the state.
