EuroMillions Jackpot Of £45m Scooped By Nottingham Couple

Couple Scoop £45m EuroMillions Jackpot

A young couple from Nottingham scooped £45m in Tuesday's EuroMillions draw, Camelot said today.

The pair, who have not yet been named, banked a staggering total of £45,160,170.50, the seventh on the list of the largest jackpots ever to be won in the UK.

Gareth and Catherine Bull were the last big UK winners nearly three weeks ago when they banked £40,627,241 after matching the numbers from a Lucky Dip ticket on the EuroMillions draw on January 20.

The biggest EuroMillions prize was a £161m jackpot won by Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs, Scotland, last year, but this is the second big win in Nottinghamshire this year.

The latest winners matched five numbers and two lucky stars in Tuesday's draw.

A Camelot spokesman said: "It is fantastic news to have another UK winner so soon after Gareth and Catherine Bull from Mansfield won £40m.

"These big draws help raise the £30m the National Lottery generates for Good Causes every week."

Camelot said Friday's jackpot is an estimated £12m.
