contagion thats the real threat to the EUSSR if greece bail we will be in very deep shxx and the shockwaves are comintg to a street near you its all part of an endgame, population cull needed probably, but we have to have lots of reasons to pull that one again its simply history repeating itself , you have to ask the question why have we not learned anything here .

You Europeans reall need to read up on the Great Depression in The USA. Why? Because you are prolly more familar with Weimar Germanys hyperinflation, and less familar with DEflation such as occurred in The USA.

The cures for the two are just the opposite. What worked to stem hyperinflation will put normal economies, like greece OR THE UK, into a death spiral.

Btw, it was YOUR brilliant economist, John M. Keynes who gave us the cure.

A well meaning Yank.

It is our duty to speak out against injustice

The greed for power within the EU is going to send Greece into civil war the never ending drive for total economic control over the people of Greece is becoming the straw that breaks the camel’s back. The only way to put Greece back on its feet is to cut it free instead of the EU pushing more money towards them with all the political demands that comes with it. The people of Greece will rise up and fight not just for their lives but for their freedom as their forefathers have done many times in the past. The EU could take over Greece’s debt tell the financial industry what the will get back and then the world can get on with living again. Greece like many countries needs to learn to live with in its economical capacity if the EU keeps pushing another war in Europe will be the result.

I'll be the one to say it; once you give and give to the masses it becomes nearly impossible to get back any of what you gave, thusly; we have anarchy as the people being affected will fight to keep what, in reality, was not theirs to begin with, it was largesse that never should have been used to keep unions happy. Socialism of any kind never works; are you listening O.

The nature of the Modern Era was everything predicted and planned. We lived immersed and controlled by our aims, objectives, targets and goals.

The nature of the Postmodern Era is that nothing is predictable. We have lost control of everything, of the economy, the environment, of planning, of ideology, of belief, of ourselves.

A period of great change is upon us. And we do not have a clue as to what we should do.

As the Indigo Girls say "wear clean knickers and keep your bum crack shaven". That advice will stand you in good stead through these uncertain times.

My wife thinks I have one fault. Everything I do!

Obviously kate, the same school as my Mum went to. She was obsessed with the idea that either me or my sister would have an accident, or fall ill in public one day, and our underwear would not be spotless. As a matter of fact my sister did once gash her leg quite badly playing in the hills, My Mother's first thought was were her knickers clean?

I think anyone with an ounce of common sense can see something unpleasant coming around the corner, but no one has any idea how it will develop or where it will lead to. Let us just hope that what comes out the other side is something better,

Blame the US as well. They packaged worthless mortgages into securities and labeled them AAA rating. Europe bought them(as well as the US)...and guess what(bad due duligence). Go after the American Big Banks and Brokerages as well and quit blaming the people for all of the problems.....that gets to be tiring and inexcusable.

It's particularly ironic as the current Greek PM - sent in to replace Papandreou - was the one that oversaw all the extravagant spending on the Olympics, military and public service. I wonder does this ever bother him?
