Marco Glaviano's Naked Supermodels Come To London

Naked Supermodels: But Don't Worry, It's Art

Marco Glaviano has made a career out of photographing supermodels - quite often when they’re not wearing many clothes.

But these aren't your standard long-lens paparazzi shots, they're carefully-arranged artistic compositions that have adorned magazines around the world.

As a result, Glaviano - one of the most famous names in the fashion industry - is about to launch his first UK exhibition next week: Marco Glaviano: Supermodels.

From Cindy Crawford to Eva Herzigova, Glaviano’s work has covered more than 500 editions of American Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Elle over the years.

Aside from appearing on newsagent’s shelves, his photographs are also collector’s items and his work hangs in museums in New York and beyond.

But is it really art, or mere titillation? Or could it be both? We’ll let you decide with this slideshow of highlights that includes models hanging off trees and flashing in front of the Eiffel Tower

Warning: contains nudity.

Marco Glaviano: Supermodels will be showing at The Little Black Gallery between 14 February and 24 March 2012.
