Twitter Jokes Of The Week: Week 6 (Of 52)

The Huffington Post UK     First Posted: 10/02/2012 12:15   Updated: 10/02/2012 12:18

So, this was the week that Stuff Happened in English football, Charles Dickens turned 200 and Dom Joly was named the funniest man on Twitter. It's a funny old game, isn't it?

Still, the football metaphors will only go so far. Because Twitter isn't a game of two halves: it's a game of 140 characters. A bit like World of Warcraft, or a bumper-sized edition of Guess Who?. And as our collection of the week's best jokes proves once again, most of the funniest people on Twitter aren't Dom Joly. In fact, most of them aren't household names. Not even in their own households, which is a real shame.

But enough of all this. Here are just some of the finest one-liners, puns and generally, genuinely amusing tweets we saw over the past seven days. Enjoy!
