WHO? Monique Lhuillier

IN A NUTSHELL: Ms Lhuillier majors in red carpet creations and this season was no exception. But this collection, which was almost exclusively black and red, showed Lhullier's dark side with plenty of long and lean dresses that clung to the body.
BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: If you find yourself getting a last minute invite to the Oscars, there was plenty to chose from - although be quick, we're told that Hollywood stylists have been calling dibs on the collection during previews over the last couple of days. If we were pushed to give you an answer, we'd opt for the nude bonded lace and tulle gown (pictured) or the femme fatale-worthy gunmetal silver column dress.
VERDICT: Best known for her fairytale princess concoctions, Lhuillier showed a slicker, glossier and more sophisticated side last night, from the dark mirrored runway to the models' stinging red lips and the curve-skimming silhouettes. We have no doubt that the dresses on show will be highly pap-friendly on the red carpet. We just hope no one gets hurt when the stylists have to fight it for them.
