Chainsaw Attack, Dean Dinnen Jailed After Flouting Smoking Ban And Returning To Pub With Weapon (VIDEO)

Hull Chainsaw Massacre: Man Jailed

A 24-year-old man has been jailed for three years after attacking customers in a Hull pub with a chainsaw.

Dean Dinnen, 32, was thrown out of the Endyke for flouting the smoking ban. He later returned revving a chainsaw, in a terrifying attack that was caught on CCTV.

Kelly Wilds, who was in the pub during the August 2011 attack, told the BBC: “Somebody picked up a chair to try and disarm him, but he just chopped it in half basically.

“All the women were absolutely terrified. God knows what would have happened if they hadn’t disarmed him.”

A 32-year-old man was injured on the arm after being struck by Dinnen’s chainsaw, shortly before he was forced to drop the weapon after being struck by a beer barrel thrown by another drinker.

Andrew Payne told The Sun: “We don’t take any rubbish around here. He could have killed people that night.

“He was threatening people with a chainsaw, including my wife. It was only because they fought back that nothing worse happened.”

Dinnen, who pleaded guilty to the attack, was overpowered by customers and later arrested by armed police officers.
