Cher Lloyd has hit out at Cheryl Cole suggesting she can't successfully sing live without autotune.
Cher was mentored by Girls Aloud singer Cheryl during her time on The X Factor and despite recently insisting she has mellowed with time in the spotlight, Cher appears to be back to her old outspoken self.
During an interview with Real Radio North West, 18-year-old Cher was asked if she would like to perform with look-alike Cheryl, to which she replied: "Maybe if she sings live with me!"
When asked if she thought it would be a challenge for Cheryl to perform live, Cher replied: "Well it is nowadays, when you haven't got the nifty little button to press."
Cher was asked for clarification on whether she was referring to autotune to which she sarcastically replied: "What, oh no? Never, never ever!"
The harsh comments come soon after Swagger Jagger singer Cher admitted she had not heard from former pal Cheryl recently and said she welcomed a phone call.
Speaking to Fabulous magazine, she said: "It would have been nice if we'd stayed in touch, because I found her to be a very genuine person. She understood me and she helped me a lot and so it's sad that I haven't heard from her. But if she wants to give me a ring she can. If not, that's fine too."
We doubt there will be a friendly call after Cher's latest comments...
