3D Art Used To Freak Out Shoppers (VIDEO)

If you’re one of those people who find confined spaces scary enough as it is, you might want to look away now.

A lift at a shopping centre in Wandsworth, London was taken over this week by some 3D art pranksters determined to freak out some unsuspecting shoppers.

Using the kind of optical illusion we’ve seen before at shopping centres (albeit in China...), the floor was repainted to look as though it was sheer vertical drop.

Alas, this was no Banksy-style guerrilla graffiti art but a publicity stunt for Alton Towers Resort, who have a new ride, the ‘Nemesis Sub-Terra’ opening in March.

Still, full points for originality – nothing is going to get people remembering your brand like momentarily convincing them they’re about the plummet to their certain doom...
