Johnny Depp has sparked rumours of a split from longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis after leaving France for a return to the US.
Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny has bought a number of properties in the Hollywood Hills and has installed a recording studio so he can spend time working with acts signed to his music label as well as working on his own tracks.
A source tells The Sun: "Johnny owns a few properties but he's investing a lot of time and money into his new Hollywood home in a bid to settle there.
"Whether that's as a single man or with his family is not clear yet.
"But what is obvious is how much time he's going to dedicate to music."
It was recently claimed Johnny and Vanessa, who have been together for 14 years and share two children together, were living separate lives after a source alleged their relationship was "fractured".
Speaking to Radar Online, the source said: "Johnny isn't handling anything well right now.
"People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now. Their relationship is heading toward the end."
Johnny attended the recent Golden Globes awards without Vanessa and it is claimed he is considering how best to end the relationship peacefully.
The source said: "They're not married but they've been together for years and have kids together so it isn't as easy as just breaking up. Johnny is so talented at acting, but he doesn’t seem able to hide how badly things are going right now."
