Big Fat Gypsy Weddings was never going to be without controversy.

Now, back with a second series that promises to be "bigger, fatter, gypsier" than the first, the hit documentary series has been accused of racism in its advertising campaign.

The Telegraph reports that this very phrase - 'bigger, fatter, gypsier' - has been targeted by The London Travellers Unit and two members of the London Assembly as similar to other, more widely-recognised terms of racism and abuse. They also complained about the tone of the series.
