California Boasts World's First Ski-Through Starbucks (VIDEO)

WATCH: The World's First Ski-Through Starbucks

Don't you just hate it when you're skiing down a mountain and can't get yours hands on a good cup of coffee? Keeps us up at night, that little problem.

Fortunately, we can sleep soundly now we've learnt that a Californian skiing resort of Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, now has a Starbucks that serves skiers.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is progress. Progress on skis.

The man behind the idea is BASE jumper JT Holmes, who absolutely loves a good cup of jo when he's out and about on a pair of waxed-up planks of wood - though the man behind getting it done is Andy Wirth, Squaw Valley's president and CEO.

"We worked closely with the design team at Starbucks to create a one-of-a-kind experience that we know our guests will truly enjoy," Wirth told onthesnow.com. "Nowhere else in the world can skiers and riders enjoy a delicious Starbucks coffee without missing a beat on the slopes."

So head to the Gold Coast complex at Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, California, to get a really, really, really cold frappuccino, just the way you like it.

Oh, and here's the opening ceremony for the Starbuck's branch in question. Needless to say, they cut the ribbon with a pair of skis. Wait, what?
