Bobby Brown

Bobby Brown reportedly left Whitney Houston's funeral, which was held at New Hope Baptist Church in Houston's hometown of Newark, New Jersey on Saturday.

The singer's ex-husband left at the start of the service, according to ABC News.

As the service began, he walked to the casket, touched it and walked to the back of the church.

Brown was then seen leaving in a Cadillac Escalade, along with his two children, Landon and LaPrincia.

The Washington Post reported: "Security guards were saying Brown would be seated but the people he arrived with had to sit apart from him. Instead, Brown left and appeared upset."

The Daily Mail reported that Brown, who divorced Houston in 2007, was "seen leaving with a grim expression on his face and his arm round fiancée, Alicia Etheridge, who was sobbing uncontrollably."

Brown, who was married to Houston for 15 years, had spent much of the week leading up to the funeral with the daughter he shared with Houston, Bobbi Kristina, who herself was hospitalised for stress and anxiety after her mother’s death on 11 February.

The only comment I have is that Bobby Brown showed no respect for Whitney
even after her devorce from him she showed re strain on talking about him even
when she could have. I think he should have asked the nine people to leave as
respect for his daughter it just goes to show his lack of feelings for a lady that
no matter who loved him and never disrespected her childs father in public he should
have showed the same for her.
If not for Whitney for Bobby Christna

for those FAMILIES who have EXPERIENCED situations such as Whitney's understand the pain, frustruation, guilt and yes.... revenge anger that can be associated with "self" abuse of someone so close .... i don't agree with choices the Whitney made in her life, but that's me. her personal choices "appears" to have led her to a place were the ultimate price was paid, leaving EVERYONE powerless to have prevented what may have been inevitable...Ms. Sissy Houston..as the media will certainly continue to make this a story, critics will spin this every which way... i thank you for allowing the world, christians, unbelievers and sinners alike to witness..no share in Whitney's homgowning. May the strength of God keep you. its so very easy to spew venom and hatred, Bobby's choices may not have been wise nor fully thought out but, they did love each other at one time. hopefully time will heal their family situation for BobbiK's sake......

Why is anybody surprised by this..?..this is simply how these people behave..you can take the people out of the gutter but you cant take the gutter out of the people..!
Shame..she was so fresh and happy looking in I Wanna Dance With Somebody....a great pop song...that was her highpoint and was over 25 years ago.!!..she has been desperate ever since and Bobby Brown..?..wow....just an archetypal pimp surely...it was all over when she thought he was the bad boy for her...

Bobby "no mark" Brown who had a very brief career, looking for some publicity, perhaps he is about to make some tacky tribute album.

I 'm not surprised he left early. The vibe was undoubtedly less than welcoming for him at Whitney's funeral. It was very poor taste to bring his fiance to the event. He should have shown more bravery and respect by attending himself and leaving various friends/ hangers on at home.

what a fiasco that funeral was, soo boring i turned it off after 45 mins. didnt want to just see the choir all the time, they didnt even show the coffin coming in. if they wanted it to be a private service then it should have been just that. Michael Jacksons was far better organised and professional. As for Bobby Brown he was there for his daughter, i thought. Nobody to blame for her drug taking except herself. she should have quit for her daughters sake, if it was one of us then the kids would have been in care.

It was a proper Baptist funeral. Not a showbiz affair for the likes of you. There was only one camera let in .
If Bobby Brown was there for his daughter, then why did he bring his girlfiend and other hanger ons....Nobody has blamed anyone else for her problem with drugs, and kids only go into care if there is no family support to give them a proper home, which this family has buckets load of.

lilly it was disrecpecttul, to come in late with nine people and your arm around your girlfriend. Not to mention totally inappropriate.

Obviously, you haven't a clue as to the customs of the Baptist Church nor have you been to a funeral of a friend who is black.

He probebly thought if i stay much longer i'm going to get lynched, cos it was my fault in the first place for getting her hooked on drugs.

He should have brought the kids and out of respect not brought the fiance or anyone else, especially not the fiance.

Tallk about a slap in the face; how on earth are you going to bring your finacee' to your ex-wife's funeral and think you're going to sit in the front row seats reserved for family. Bobby you are not even entitled to sit in the front row, you're no longer family. It was not a party. You are told you have three seats and you have the audacity to bring nine people who are unrelated to her?The security guards might have told him to leave.

Why do people keep blaming Bobby Brown for Whitney's death? Whitney was a grown woman with a child. She had the money to get the best help possible to recover. Many people don't and end up dying a lonely death. I feel sad that she has passed, but her daughter deserved so much more from her mother.

I know its hard to judge if you never have tried crack etc. But I have done the clubbing thing. Seen my friends take drug right under my nose. Knew that I would never want to do that, even if they did!. Its about being yourself and not doing what other people want you to do.

I am sickened that Bobby Brown was violent to her. Nobody deserves that. But it was Whitney who died in the bathtub in a hotel. Her behaviour was odd the day before. I have no doubt that she had taken something to relax her and it went horribly wrong. But I am not writing this to judge, I am simply saying that everybody always want blame somebody else for their loved ones death. Whitney had a choice.

Her daughter should have been the one main reason for her to quit. I feel so much sadness for her daughter. I hope Whitney is resting in peace and hopefully finds the peace in the place that she is in now, that she could never find in this life.

Now lets leave her family to grieve.x

Oh dear what a load of rubbish the funeral turned out to be, Bobby was nothing to Whitney any more, he should not even have been at the funeral in the first place. Whitney chose her own Destiny so I don't know what all the fuss is about, she must have known herself that if she kept on taking the drugs and drink it would kill her in the end, she was putting her life at risk every time she did it, but no these so called stars think they know what's best for them. There have been so many star's who have died from drugs so you can just put Whitney on the list. All this fuss is not worth it. Leave her to Rest In Peace.
