WHO? London Fashion Week regular Nicole Farhi

IN A NUTSHELL: Farhi was inspired by the 1890s Vienna Secession movement, which was set up by artists including Gustav Klimt, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser. Klimt's use of colour and texture was evident in the rich burnished bronze and silvers, and graphic mosaic-like sequins and laquered brocades. Architectural influences of the movement were evident in the with minimalist funnel neck belted shifts and coats in ivory and steely grey.
BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: We loved the metallic pencil skirts shimmying with shard-like sequins and the brocade shifts in an oily copper brocade.

VERDICT: Today's show marked 30 years in the business for Farhi - but she definitely wasn't in the partying mood. Set within the gothic but austere Courts of Justice it felt like this collection took itself just a little too seriously. Yes there was undeniable opulence, but we'd have liked to see Farhi loosen up just a little bit more.
