The excitement of the awards season reached its climax on Sunday night as Hollywood's finest turned out for the 84th Academy Awards - otherwise known as the Oscars 2012.

The likes of Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz all sashayed their way up the red carpet before heading into LA's Kodak Theater on Sunday night to find out who had scooped the prestigious gongs.
