Preview: H&Amp;M Announces Designer Collaboration With Marni

H&M is on a roll at the moment! Following sell-out designer collaborations with the likes of Jimmy Choo, Lanvin and most recently, Versace, the high street store has just announced its latest high end partnership: a Spring collection with Italian fashion house Marni.

Famed for its bold use of colour, print and shape, Marni has long been a favourite within style circles - boasting Anne Hathaway, Anna Wintour and the Olsen sisters as famous fans (to name but a few.)

The Marni for H&M collection - designed by Marni founder and Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni - will feature both menswear and womenswear, in clothing and accessories.

"I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," explains Castiglioni. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements".

"Marni's collection for H&M has all the freedom and experimentation for which the label is renowned, with all-over prints in strong colours all intended to be worn together in layers that both match and clash," reads a press statement from H&M.

"For women, the colours are vivid and the prints are bold, be they African inspired or simpler colour blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To finish the complete look the collection also includes jewellery, shoes, bags and scarves."

The Marni for H&M collection is due to land online and in selected stores on 8 March 2012.
