Four Horsemen is a cinematic feature documentary, claiming to lift the lid on how the global economy really works. Coming to cinemas from 14th March 2012, it seeks to investigate how and why the current system has failed. Here's the blurb below:

After the greatest financial heist in history, the modern day 'Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse' continue to ride roughshod over the people whom can least afford it. One - a rapacious financial system, Two - escalating organized violence, Three - abject poverty for billions and Four - exhaustion of the earth's resources, gallop unchallenged because we are not encouraged to question the accepted norms.

Consumerism has put us on an unhappy crash course for disaster and many people, perhaps even the majority of people, sense innately that something is wrong. Arguably, almost everyone is now at the end of the benefits of economic growth and younger generations are facing a future without the opportunities or the quality of life enjoyed by generations passed.

Understanding that we will never return to 'business as usual', filmmakers Ross Ashcroft(Writer/Director) and Megan Ashcroft (Producer) decided to do something and Four Horsemen is the result - a documentary feature, made out of outrage, out of incredulity, out of necessity.

Why with all the knowledge and technology in the world do we fail to distribute wealth fairly? How can we live in a society that benefits the few at the expense of the many? Is it because of us, or is it actually something more systemic? Four Horsemen seeks to answer these kinds of questions and strips away all the complex language and terminology from our banking and economic practices to show how simple it really is.

Four Horsemen brings together for the first time interviews with 23 global thinkers - many of whom have been marginalised - to break their silence and explain how the world really works. Leading experts such as Noam Chomsky, Gillian Tett, Philip Blond, Richard Wilkinson, Camilla Batmanghelidjh explain exactly what's going on and where we go from here.

Four Horsemen doesn't get involved in banker bashing, criticising politicians or conspiracy theories. The film puts the entire system up for discussion and ultimately ignites a debate about the ways we could change it.

The Four Horsemen is in UK cinemas from 14th March, and available on DVD from 2nd April 2012. Watch the trailer above.

This is going to be a very important film... however we are talking about a club of around 40 white male billionaires who are doing all this. When I read the title, I was really hoping you'd point the finger at the four main perpetrators, be the first to really name names. Yes our entire thought process has to change, but also we can't keep acting like it's on EVERYONE'S shoulders. You ned to be trying to get these guys in jail, not pointing the finger at your audience. What the hell can we do? I already recycle 100% of all my waist, barely use the thermostat, drive a car with 40mpg and buy products based on what will last at least a decade. Your audience doesn't have a billion dollar salary telling them to ignore the environmental and economic collapse.

i agree with you although I can't afford one of the new autos still I do what I can. The biggest change has been to learn to love what I have and to drop the idea of shopping and dreaming of a princess life.
Although I do know that the billionaires, whose faces we haven't seen, are unreasonably represented in the world of commerce still the biggest job is to change the consciousness of humanity-capitalists want everyone to trust the dollar and dictators want to make the world kiss their a-s but they are few and we are many many many-how do we change and stop the fear that rides over us?

Lets see power in numbers... If you have 1 wealthy nut case with his hands around your air supply aka neck and have 7 billion witnesses what are the odds that 7 billion do several things.

A. Watch them choke you to death not realizing they will be next?

B. Get up and and choke him en mass because they realize they will be next?

C. Wach him choke you and because they are not being choked at the moment feed into the lies that the bully tells them that you deserved it because .... Choose any GOP excuse you have heard thus far.

D. Play into victimology and surrender to the choking and excuse the Bully's anitcs as a matter of enviroment or method of doing business in todays world.

E.Let the billions lose the fear of the 1B and tell them enmass the game is over and don't play. To do that the masses in large numbers don't sit on curbs. with expensive I pads and computers and twitter accounts. This only encourages the demand side economics to keep strangulating you. You stop having faith in the system and refuse to engage in it any way shape or form.
