Horse meat ice cream?? Just disgusting. Horses shouldn't be eaten, just sad. Japanese have seriously got no taste buds, they eat anything and everything....gross

One of the best ice cream combos I've ever had was in Japan - green tea and purple yam swirled soft ice cream. Most excellent!

Interesting article. I own an ice cream biz and we make some interesting flavors, although a number of these go too far. Candied Bacon is a good one, although I wouldn't go for any other meat recipes. I tried buffalo wing sauce and crumbled bleu cheese once, but I thought it was awful. I think it would better if they were in two separate ice creams and then eaten alternatively. I wouldn't mind trying the squid ink ice cream, that could be interesting. Sweet corn is very popular in Mexico. I'm a big fan of cayenne pepper - I combine it with a number of other flavors. I've also made some awesome habanero ice cream. My favorite exotic ingredient is liquor - we make a number of incredibly tasty liquor ice creams.

Best ice cream ever is homemade. When it's that fresh and made with good, simple ingredients, any flavor is fantastic! Can't wait for summer when I can make my favorite - nectarine cream!

My favorite ice cream--wherever I go--is vanilla so nope I would not try these different flavors. Vanilla is the best cause I can add most anything to it and it tastes even better....
