Sport Relief: 'Made In Chelsea' Cast Run The Mile - Reality TV Made Worthy?

PHOTOS: Reality TV Made Worthy?

Sport Relief is not only raising millions to change lives at home and in some of the world’s poorest countries, it's also getting reality TV stars to do something beneficial...

Torn from the comfort of the Kings Road, the Made In Chelsea cast yesterday swapped their Burberry garbs for Nike shorts to run a mile for the charity.

Show favourites Millie Mackintosh, Mark Francis, Francesca “Cheska” Hull, Rosie Fortescue, Fredrik Ferrier, Oliver Proudlock and Jamie Laing were split into two teams and went head-to-head in a relay.

And it wasn't just for the chance to be photographed or shed a few pounds that the wealthy stars took part, the cast sweated it out with the aim of encouraging the nation to take part in one of the hundreds of Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile events taking place across the UK on Sunday 25th March by entering the Mile at www.sportrelief.com.

The Made In Chelsea gang aren't the first reality stars to back Sport Relief and do something charitable with their new-found fame - hitherto largely earned by hanging out in their favourite hot spots glugging champagne. Former stars of their rival show, The Only Way Is Essex, have also put their best feet forward.

Amy Childs and Harry Derbridge joined forces to raise money on the BBC contest Let's Dance For Sport Relief, at which they performed as Britney and Madonna in the iconic video for Me Against The Music.

Despite promising never to wear fancy dress again after an infamous episode of TOWIE saw him dress up as Lady Gaga, Harry had decided that Sport Relief was such a worthy cause that he had to dress up, his own mum revealed.

It's not often reality TV stars get a mention in the same sentence as altruism, but - who knows? - if these reality stars can inspire at least one of their fans to donate to this worthy cause, then perhaps the MIC and TOWIE cast are good for more than just a few easy laughs...
