Olympic Hopefuls Are Statuesque In This Week's Grazia

Olympic hopefuls have been transformed into marble statues for this week's edition of Grazia.

"We're used to not wearing very much, but this is definitely the first time we've been spray painted", said volleyball star Zara Dampney.

Starring gymnast Beth Tweddle, swimmer Rebecca Adlington and beach volleyball players Dampney and partner Shauna Mullin, photographer Perou had an image of magnificent marble statues in his mind before the shoot. In his interview with the magazine he says, "That's how the Grecian Olympian athletes were honoured and how every one of these women deserves to be honoured too." We couldn't agree more.

Yes, they must have been absolutely freezing, their balancing skills would have to be spot on and it must have been a nightmare getting that spray paint out of their hair - but how amazing are the results! They sure tricked us into thinking they were statues, not the Olympians themselves...

The full photo shoot appears in this week's Grazia magazine, on sale today.
