'Super Morrissey Bros.' Takes The Smiths' 'The Charming Man' And Chiptunes It (AUDIO)

LISTEN: The Smiths' 'This Charming Man' Covered Using 'Super Mario Bros.' Sounds

Super Mario Bros. fans, rejoice! Smiths fans, throw your hands into the air! For today you can listen to 'Super Morrissey Bros.', SoundClouder lazyitis' impressive musical mash-up of Nintendo's bleeps and Moz's songwriting skills.

Clocking in at 2.45 minutes, it's precisely the same length as the original, but without any of Morrissey's warblings or Marr's guitar plucking. So at least there's that.

Some may claim those were the best bits of the song - and they'd be right - but there's definitely something utterly brilliant about listening to one of the best songs of the '80s recreated with an accompanying sound of coins being collected.

Now all we want is someone to create a 8-bit music video to match all the chiptunery. Mozza in a plumbers' uniform, anyone? Marr has to be Luigi, surely. Someone get on this, stat.

And just for a little bit of compare and contrast, here's the original music video for This Charming Man. It's pretty terrible, if we're honest - but the music is good. Very good, in fact.
