If there's a lady on this planet who knows her lingerie, it's Dita Von Teese. And she's putting her expertise to good use with a lingerie line - Von Follies - which launched in Melbourne on Wednesday (7 Mar).
The burlesque star didn't model the collection herself, instead posing in a red dress with a selection of models clad in their scanties. But the launch wasn't without drama - apparently the models arrived sporting spray tans and had to be scrubbed back to pale perfection for the Dita aesthetic.
Disaster averted! Just issued out a "no spray tan" alert to our models. Apparently, spray tan is the usual prep for lingerie shows. Yikes!

Speaking about the range, Dita herself said: "It was important to me to accomplish the task of making these beautiful things in sizes that can make any woman feel sexy and glamorous, and I'm very proud that we have been able to do that, while keeping prices affordable."
And what of her knicker-design credentials? Miss Dita is a lifelong lingerie enthusiast and collector:
"From age 16 I worked in a lingerie store, and I had a very strong interest in the history of underpinnings and how styles changed from decade to decade. Even at age sixteen, I wanted to be a lingerie expert, so I did everything I could to learn about it!"
The line will initially retail exclusively at Target Australia with global distribution planned for the future.
What do you think - would you wear them?
