Heidi Klum 'Swept Up In A Tornado' After Split With Seal
It's been a whirlwind few months for Heidi Klum since her divorce from Seal, and now the beauty admits to feeling like she's been swept up in a "tornado" since her marriage broke down.
The seemingly happy couple shocked Hollywood when they announced their split in January, especially as they had banged on about their love for each other at their annual marriage vow renewals.
Seal wasted no time hitting the talk show circuit to open up about his heartache, and still put on his wedding ring every morning.
Heidi, on the other hand, retreated from the spotlight, laying low until she came back with a bang at Elton John's Oscars party, where she rocked a supershort, backless dress.
Now she's finally opened up about her ordeal, and insists she waited a few extra weeks to talk to the press for the sake of their kids.
Speaking to fashion bible Elle, she said: "I feel like I'm in the eye of the tornado. It's emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness - with you wanting it or not wanting it (sic) - is another tornado.
"I don't want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we're in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don't think it's necessary - especially for our children - to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about."
When Seal gave his side of the story to Aussie radio station 2DAY FM, he explained the reason for his eagerness to chat - insisting a couple who promoted their happy relationship as they did should explain a split to their fans.
He explained: "When you publicise your marriage as much as our marriage was publicised, when you renew wedding vows, when you do all those things you are giving them a picture of an ideal relationship, of a relationship that people aspire towards... when it goes south you can't all of a sudden take the philosophy of (a) Celestine monk and decide to go for a vow of silence, it doesn't really work like that.
"And while I respect my wife's decision not to talk about it, I felt that people at least deserved some kind of explanation."
