JLS star Aston Merrygold had to be rescued from a swimming pool this week after he got stuck underwater during a video shoot.
The boy band were filming in a pool in Essex when Aston got his foot caught on a camera cable, and lifeguards had to dive in to save him from drowning.
A source told The Sun: "Aston was really shaken up. He couldn't untangle the cable and was underwater for some time. The other lads thought he was joking until it became obvious he was stuck."
The filming, which took place at a sports centre in Basildon, Essex, was for a set of videos to be shown at the band's upcoming 4th Dimension Arena tour.
Luckily, it seems Aston was back to his old self after the incident. The insider says that once he had recovered, Aston was disappointed that he had been rescued by a couple of blokes rather than female lifeguards.
He will no doubt be requesting a Pamela Anderson lookalike to be on hand next time he takes a dip.
