Johnny Depp stars in Tim Burton's latest gothic fantasy 'Dark Shadows'

Here's our first look at Tim Burton's latest gothic extravaganza, starring - guess who - Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter - well, if it isn't broke, etc...

Based on the cult TV series, it stars Johnny Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins and documents his various run-ins with monsters, ghouls and ghosts.

Suitably pale actors Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Johnny Lee Miller and Christopher Price all co-star.

Dark Shadows will be in UK cinemas on 11 May. Check out the first trailer above.

This was definitely not what I was expecting...but I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Helena Boham Carter, and Chloe Grace Mortez....so it can't possibly be bad.

OK, that is absolutely NOT AT ALL what I was expecting from this long-rumored Dark Shadows. And that's probably a very good thing. Whatever this film is, I don't think it's what anyone was expecting and it's not something we've seen before.

I was a fan of Dark Shadows and ran home to watch it every day. I hold very little hope for this movie, as Tim Burton has been on a decline since the days of Sleepy Hollow. Over done make up and silly voices do not a movie make.

After finding out about the jump street remake. This just makes my day! I hope to the gods that two men with as high reputations as these, don't try to get out any necrophiliac tendency on this classic television series, Good Gods i can't believe used near that same line on jump street remake first, when it fits here as well, even better in some ways.

I really like Johnny Depp, BUT it's almost getting to the point where he makes different films with the same co-stars and white make up. Something new and different please!
