Andrew Flintoff Gets Off To A Flyer In Sports Relief Guinness World Record Challenge (VIDEO)

Will Flintoff Take 12 For 12? (VIDEO)

Andrew Flintoff has started his 12 records in 12 hours Sport Relief challenge.

The ex-England cricketer smashed the Guinness World Record for drinking a hot chocolate in 5.45 seconds this morning.

It is one of a number of quirky records for the 34-year-old to pass in a bid to raise cash for the charity.

He has 50 records to choose from within the duration, from eating Smarties with chopsticks to catching as many lemons he can in 60 seconds and attempting to accomplish other feats.

Flintoff boasted of his first completed challenge this morning on Twitter:

Flintoff has been practising the variety of tasks, and admitted last week: "I can’t wait to take on my record breaking BT challenge for Sport Relief.

"I’ve never held a Guinness World Records title before so achieving 12 within 12 hours would be an incredible achievement.

"I’m used to high-pressured situations, especially during my cricket career - so hopefully I can hold my nerve and the nation will get behind me again and sponsor me."

The ex-Lancashire all-rounder also participated in a row across the English Channel with comedian John Bishop last month and was joined by Davina McCall and Denise Lewis.
