'Truffles' Breaks Guinness World Record For Longest Guinea Pig Jump (VIDEO)

WATCH: World Record For Longest Guinea Pig Jump Smashed

That's right, there's a world record for 'longest guinea pig jump' - and Truffles here is the current owner that record, the lithe little tyke.

First reported by Tayside and Fife newspaper website The Courier, the leap of faith was recorded on camera and uploaded to their YouTube channel after Truffles jumped a massive 30cm gap between two boxes.

For those of you not keeping track of the competitive world of guinea pig athletics, that's just under 10cm more than the previous record holder, Diesel, a London-based guinea pig who's been king of the guinea pig world since July 2009.

But how did Truffle's owner, 13-year-old trainer Chloe Macari, encourage her darling pet to jump such an extraordinary distance? That's right, with the help of a cucumber treat. Of course.

It's an impressive feat, there's no doubt about that, but is it the cutest guinea pig-related video on the web? We're not so sure. Take a look at our cute guinea pig video gallery below to see the competition...
