Girls Just Wanna Have.. A Reality Show

Pop veteran Cyndi Lauper is heading back to the world of reality TV with her very own show.

The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun star is reuniting with TV mogul Mark Burnett, the producer of The Celebrity Apprentice, to launch Cyndi this summer.

The programme, which will air on US network WE, will follow the life of the outspoken singer and gay rights campaigner and she will serve as an executive producer alongside Burnett.

A spokesperson for WE said: "Cyndi takes viewers on an all-access journey into the personal and professional life of one of pop culture's most beloved and influential icons as she juggles her roles as rock star, mother, wife, Broadway composer, and philanthropist.

"With her hectic touring schedule, awards appearances, and recording sessions, Cyndi's family life with her husband of 20 years, actor David Thornton, and the couple's 13-year-old son, Declyn, is anything but 'normal.'"

Lauper competed on Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice in 2010
