An 18-year-old who bagged himself a high school prom date with a hardcore porn star has been informed he cannot bring her to the dance.
Mike Stone was set to arrive at the Tartan High School dance on May 12 with none other than Megan Piper on his arm, after the adult actress accepted his Twitter request.
Piper, 19, promised to wear “something sexy” for the big night, provided Stone stumped up $400 for her airfare from Los Angeles to Oakdale, Minnesota.
It looked as if the plan was truly beginning to take shape after a travel agency offered to supply Piper's ticket, but Stone’s dream was cruelly dashed after he was summoned to the principal’s office, the Daily Dot reported.
While the teen is not in trouble, he was informed Piper’s attendance would “not be a good thing”.
The sentiment was reiterated in an email to Fox News, where Patty Phillips, superintendent of the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District, said Piper would be barred because her appearance would be “inconsistent” with two district policies relating to visitors to school buildings and sites.
The policies in question stipulate individuals or groups can be denied entry to events if the visit is “not in the best interest” of the district, spokesman Jennifer McNeil told the channel.
Piper has promised to broadcast her response via YouTube later this evening, which is certainly something to stay tuned for.

Stone’s touching search for a companion came into the spotlight after his quest made it onto social news site Reddit.
Comments flooded in, variously hailing Stone as a "hero" and a "fat nerdy kid". Stone modestly describes himself as "AWESOME" on his Twitter profile.
User Callme_JM said: "Stuck in a three-way emotional limbo between pure joy, hating the kid, and admiring his courage. Not sure if I want him to succeed, but at the same time, I do."
Piper, 19, told The Huffington Post: “I thought it was really cute, and I thought it would make his night by saying ‘yes’.”
The actress, who has starred in numerous films including Every Last Drop and Coed Debutantes, began enthusiastically tweeting about how much she was looking forward to meeting her date.

Not one to do things by halves, Stone apparently sent out nearly 600 Tweets in his quest for a date.
With just 140 characters to get his message across, Stone’s Tweets are short and sweet, including one to adult star Brittany Blaze suggesting: “I have a lot of stuff plan (sic) like dinner hotel and a personal massage that ill give u.”
Blaze appeared less than keen to take him up on his offer, however.

Before the school pulled the plug, Stone's scattergun approach looked to be paying off - as porn star Emy Reyes also suggested she'd also like to attend.
Piper meanwhile let it be known she'd be more than happy to share Stone's company on the big night in question.
