Fergie Denies US X Factor Rumours: 'Now Is Not The Right Time'

Sorry, I'm Busy!

Pop star Fergie has ruled out pulling up a seat on the new panel of America's The X Factor as she doesn't have the time to focus on the show.

The Black Eyed Peas singer is reportedly one of Simon Cowell's favourites to become a judge on the second season of his TV talent show, which he launched Stateside last year.

However, Fergie insists she is too busy to make such a huge commitment.

She tells Access Hollywood: "It's kind of funny why this keeps coming up about The X Factor. I mean, I love Simon and I love the show. It's just that last year, nor this year, do I have the time to commit to that sort of commitment because I would be somebody who would really throw myself into it, as I do with all my projects.

"It's just not fair to the contestants and their careers - that's their career - to not be full in.

"I know there were talks last season and this season... Simon said before (that) timing is everything and it's not the right time for me."

Britney Spears is one of the superstars still reported to be in the running for a judging job after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul were axed following the series' first run.
