Rihanna has experimented with many looks over the years - Sideshow Bob, the butter-wouldn't-melt, girl next door (remember that?) and the S&M madam were just a few of our favourites.
But we can't say we've ever seen her looking quite like this before.
RiRi went all gothic geisha on the set of the video for her collaboration with Coldplay - posting the snaps on Twitter.
Well, we guess she had to make those rock boys look interesting somehow.
Then again, the song is called Princess of China, so she probably had a theme to work with.
But if you thought her theatrics would impress Kiss (ask your granny) frontman Gene Simmons you'd be wrong, as he has sensationally hit out at our RiRi.
He branded her as "fake" and "karaoke" in a rant against her.
"We’re sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them. No fake bulls***," he said at a press conference earlier this week.
"Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an A."
Get back in your armchair, granddad.
