The woman accused of breaking into Simon Cowell's house on Saturday night has been remanded in custody.

Leanne Zaloumis, 29, of Catford, south-east London, allegedly broke into the Holland Park home of the Britain's Got Talent judge where she was caught armed a brick.

She appeared at West London Magistrates' Court charged with aggravated burglary.

The multi-millionaire - who likened the incident to "something out of a horror movie" - is beefing up security at his luxury London home following the break-in.

His spokesperson, Max Clifford, said: "He was just very lucky that all she had was a brick. She could have had a knife, a gun or any other weapon."
