'The Voice' Gets Its First - But Probably Not Its Last - Parody (VIDEO)

WATCH: Brilliant 'The Voice' Parody

Here in the UK, The Voice is only just getting started - but over in Ireland, they've been enjoying the reality TV singing competition for a good few months now.

Because of this, they've had much more time for it to seep into their collective subconscious, and much more time for their comedians to come up with the appropriate parodies that anything this successful is obliged to receive.

Enter Irish comic Barry Murphy with this fantastic little skit - a skit so fantastic, in fact, that you don't even need to know anything about the four Irish judges involved to get the joke.

Still, for anyone who's interested, the Irish singing gurus being skewered are Bressie (lead singer of The Blizzards), Kian Egan (him off Westlife), Sharon Corr (her off The Corrs) and Brian Kennedy (a Northern Irish singer-songwriter).

Now all we need is for someone to recreate the very same gag with our judges - will.i.am, Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, Danny O'Donoghue - and, um, that would be nice. And probably still quite funny, now we think about it.

So a tip of the cap to guys that first aired this clip on RTE's Craig Doyle Live, and another tip of another cap to the man who put us onto it in the first place, Jim Sheridan.
