Chelsea Striker Didier Drogba Caught Mocking Benfica After Champions League Draw (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has been criticised by Benfica after he appeared to ridicule the Portuguese champions.

During the Champions League quarter-final draw, Drogba was caught by Chelsea TV sarcastically quaking in his boots after the Blues drew Encarnados.

The footage has infuriated the two-time European Cup winners ahead of this evening's first leg clash, and coach Jorge Jesus told The Sun: "Any response to Drogba we will give on the field. Who knows what he was thinking, maybe he was joking.

"But we eliminated Manchester United this season and Sporting Lisbon put out Manchester City — that should indicate the strengths of Portuguese football."

Chelsea's ex-Benfica defender David Luiz however told the same paper: "He wouldn't disrespect a team like that."

Yet the evidence, as provided in the attached video, appears to suggest otherwise.
