Whoopi Goldberg is set to add a little Glee to her life after signing on for a multi-episode appearance on the hit TV musical series.

The Oscar winner will play a thespian and professor at the New York school where Lea Michele and Chris Colfer's characters have applied to study.

The Ghost star is expected to appear in at least three episodes throughout May, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan's rep has today confirmed that the reformed star, imminently to complete the conditions of her parole, has also been lined up to perform in the show. Lohan has previously been confirmed to take the role of Elizabeth Taylor in a forthcoming biopic about the late actress and her great love Richard Burton.
