Football supporters often wish they could point their team in the right direction, but one set of fans have. Literally.
FC Magdeburg followers, fed up with the team's impotence, held aloft luminous arrows behind the goal of opponents Berliner AK '07 during last Saturday's clash.
And the ruse worked. U.S. forward Chris Wright surged forward and ended Magdeburg's 558-minute goal drought.
However despite FCM end their barren spell, Berliner AK '07 nabbed a winner with just one minute to go for a 2-1 win at the MDCC-Arena.
Magdeburg are bottom of the Regionalliga Nord league - which makes up the Fourth Division in Germany.
They have scored just 16 goals from 25 matches all season.
