George Galloway Egged In Bradford For 'Acting Like A Submissive Cat'

George Galloway has had eggs thrown at him as he celebrated his stunning by-election win in Bradford, however the new Respect MP managed to dodge the projectiles.

Thomas Johnson, 26, of Bradford, West Yorkshire, called Galloway a "parasite" as he threw the eggs towards him.

"Why would any city want a politician that got kicked out of two constituencies? Who hasn't got the common sense not to act like a submissive cat on television?" Johnson said.

He added: "I wanted to insult him."

Galloway secured a dramatic victory in the Bradford West by-election on Thursday, securing 10,000 votes more than his Labour rival.

The attack happened as the new MP left his party's West Bradford headquarters and prepared to board his open-top bus for a tour of the city.

Eggs exploded on to the windows of the Chambers Solicitors office, where the campaign was based, and showered those standing below with yolks, egg whites and fragments of shell.

Johnson shouted: "He's a sycophant, he's a greedy leech, he's a parasite on this city."

Of course Galloway is not the first politician to have food thrown at him in protest:

Galloway said the eggs had not hit him, noting his aim was "not very good".

"Was he protesting? Against me? The man who got chosen by 56% of the people yesterday?" he said.

"I've only just been elected. Unless he was protesting against the democratic process of the election."

The man is a stain on the mother of parliments and has questionable views and friends in 'other countries'. You can be sure that nothing he does will be in the interests of Britain, just in the interests of Mr Galloway! And to the detriment of our armed forces and their sacrifice!

Spot on. GG cares more for terrorists and suicide bombers than he does for the Armed Forces of this country. Truly a Lord Haw Haw of the 21st Century. Remind me, what did we do to Lord Haw Haw?

Typical Galloway. He claims he was elected by 56 of the people. Hang on, the turn out was only 50 percent. My calculations make this 23 percent of the electorate. But George never did have any judgement. The people of Bradford should rest assured that they won't see this clown in the Constituency much. He never attends Westminster much either. He will be too busy organising Flotillas and Convoys to give outdated medicine and broken electrical goods to terrorists in Gaza. Really George is the elected Member for Hamas. His election in Bradford West was divisive and could well strain community relations in the City. The Respect Party really stands for Respect for terrorists.

Oops I meant to say 28 percent!

People are complaining about a democratic victory in a political election and throwing eggs at the victor.
Methinks t'is the peoples of Bradford who couldn't be orsed to vote that be 'aving egg on their faces.

Conviction politicians rather than the majority who perhaps should be convicted politicians, Galloway is a decent and honest man.

Dear Thomas Johnson,

18,000 people disagree with you. Maybe you should have done something about the election then. I'm not Galloway fan but has has a clear democratic mandate - much larger than the former MP's for this constituency. Time to grow up.

A 'clear democratic mandate'? If you ignore the fact that his primary voters were Muslims encouraged here without the consent or wish of the majority of the British people and serve now only as bloc voters for politicians to pander to for votes then yes, clearly democratic.

By definition his primary voters were the British electorate in that constituency, thats democracy.
