In recent times, Lindsay Lohan has been responsible for our discovery of a peculiar fashion sub-genre - that of courtroom couture. But Thursday (29 March) saw the troubled star don a powder blue suit to bid farewell to the justice system at her final formal probation hearing.

The actress wore the blue Givenchy suit with platform heels by The Row and a white Celine handbag and a black top. If we were going to quibble we would point out the apparent lack of a bra and the slightly squiffy hairstyle BUT then we would also point out that THIS happened in the not-so-distant past and just be grateful that we didn't have to revisit that.

Okay, so Lindsay is still not a completely free woman - Judge Sautner explained that although the actress's DUI case was now over her necklace theft case would "be hanging over your head until 24 May 2014" but that she did not expect to see Lohan again.

"You need to live your life in a more mature way, stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work," advised the judge. She ended the session by wishing Lohan "Goodbye and good luck".
