Eye Eye! Animal Peepers Up Close (PICTURES)

Huffington Post UK  |  By Posted: 2/04/2012 11:59 Updated: 2/04/2012 12:04

Piercing, vividly coloured and sometimes sinister, this selection of pictures shows the windows of the souls of creatures great and small.

Snapped by photographer Suren Manvelyan, the shots feature the eyes of chimpanzees to pythons to crocodiles to stingrays.

The collection comes after his hugely popular Your Beautiful Eyes series, which featured close-ups of the human eye.

Manvelyan, who has been a professional since the age of 16, also teaches physics, mathematics, geometry and astronomy in Yerevan, his city of birth.

I agree, tell us what animal the eyes belong to! Please...

I recognised a few of these, but as I work with animals I'd be disappointed if I didn't!

It'd be great to have the animal listed so I could know if I got them right.

Excellent photography.

It would be nice to know which animal/species the eye is of.
