Want to rock this season's pyjama trend but not sure where to start? The ever public spirited Rihanna is on hand to help. RiRi rocked up to the Battleship photocall in Tokyo earlier today wearing her jim jams. And we think she looks pretty darn good.
This is the second time that Rihanna has rocked pyjama look in the past week - which suggests to us that she is either painfully cutting edge and/or in desperate need of some shut eye.

Some thoughts on why it works:
The cut: This is a million miles away from the cotton pyjamas that Aunt Mavis got you for Christmas. The dazzling fabric and tie waist silhouette is pure lounge lizard. It's all about channeling your inner Katherine Hepburn.
The accessories: The more bling, the better.
The hair: Bedhead is (sadly) not an option with this look, for fear that you are mistaken for wearing your actual pyjamas.
The heels: Slippers should be avoided at all costs (see above).
