Harry Potter Star Rupert Grint Admits Feeling 'Lost' After Saying Goodbye To Ron Weasley (VIDEO)

INTERVIEW: What's Eating Rupert Grint?

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has confessed to feeling "lost" after the world-famous film franchise, to which he dedicated over ten years of his life, came to an end.

Speaking to The Huffington Post UK at the launch of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, Grint - who played Harry Potter's best friend Ron Weasley from the age of 11 - admitted: "It was a huge part of my life. After it finished it was really hard to adjust to because it had been every day for ten years and then it just suddenly came down to one take and that was it."

He continued: "Yeah I did feel a little bit lost for a while, I didn't really know what to do with myself. But I feel I'm in a better place now. It's exciting to move on and do new things, it had to end sometime. It's weird being back here now."

Since graduating from the magical school of Hogwarts for good, where he and his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson grew up, Grint has signed up to play Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards in a biopic of the ski-jumper's heroic failure at the 1988 Winter Olympics, and appeared in the music video for Ed Sheeran's Lego House. He has also appeared alongside Julie Walters, Michelle Dockery and Stephen Fry in a TV advert for Visit Britain.

Meanwhile, his co-star Radcliffe has starred in the film adaptation of The Woman In Black, while Watson has made her first post-Potter film outing as Lucy in the Golden Globe-nominated My Week With Marilyn.

While back at Levesdon Studios, once the place where the magic of Harry Potter was created and now a multi-million-pound walking-tour tourist atraction, Grint confessed it felt a bit like returning to work...

"It's so strange to see it in this format, like it's an attraction and people are coming and walking around and looking at it. It's great we can share the same kind of feelings that we got from it with people," he added.

We spoke to Grint in the Gryffindor common room, a set where he filmed many memorable scenes.

"This is quite a special place - just being in here brings back so many memories, particularly of the early films. I remember the Christmas scenes. Every set and every prop has some kind of memory, it's quite nostalgic," explained the flame-haired actor.

The common room is just one of the many attractions that Warner Bros. hope will bring in 4,000 visitors a day to the tour, which gives a behind-the-scenes look at the most successful film series of all time. The tour includes the actual sets, costumes, animatronics, special effects and props used in all eight of the Harry Potter films.

Grint may no longer be working on the films, but he's got a fantastic place to visit any time he feels like a walk down memory lane.
