Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain For England? Luis Suarez To Leave Liverpool? And More (TRANSFER AND GOSSIP TALK)

The OC For England? (TRANSFER AND GOSSIP TALK)

Perhaps downhearted at the perceived inevitability of the Premier League title race ending in Manchester United winning it, England matters come back to the fore in many of this morning's papers.

The Metro state Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is raring to go for the Three Lions and is adamant he can help them win at Euro 2012. "The OC", as he is regularly known by, has displayed excellent form for Arsenal since his first league start in January and would arguably offer a more creative outlet than Theo Walcott.

Remaining in north London, and The Daily Mail suggest Arsene Wenger has instructed chief French scout and former defensive donkey Gilles Grimandi to compile a dossier on Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud, who is rated at an eye-watering £50m. Et vive le France, Arsene! The Gunners boss is also set to go head-to-head with Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Sunderland's nimble forward Stephane Sessegnon, claim the Daily Mirror.

And on the subject of erratic forwards, Luis Suarez, who seems to be hitting the woodwork more often than the back of the net this season for Liverpool, is wanted by both Juventus and Roma, say talkSPORT. The Uruguayan cost the club £22m and has scored 16 goals since his January 2011 move from Ajax.

HuffPost UK Sport favourite and greatest number 10 semi-finalist Diego Maradona helped Manchester City out over Carlos Tevez, but now he appears to be sabotaging the Citizens' long-term plans. Son-in-law Sergio Aguero has been advised by the Hand of God to sign for Real Madrid in the summer, talkSPORT again claim. "Kun" of course signed for City in the summer from Real's city rivals Atletico Madrid.

And naturally, City have rejected the claims that their Argentinian striker is unsettled in England's north, retort The Times.

Aston Villa are set for "big changes" in the summer, and they don't get any bigger than Emile Heskey. The Mirror claim the gentle giant will lead a mass exodus from Villa Park as the club attempt to rediscover the art of attacking football under Alex McLeish.

The Sun say West Brom have had a £2m bid rejected by Rangers for striker Steven Naismith, who was one of the first Blue boys to take a pay cut at the financially stricken club. And the Mirror report ex-Blackburn midfielder Tugay has recommended Rovers' Martin Olsson to another of his former clubs, Galatasaray.

Oh and the Metro say Mario Balotelli apparently had a curry with Drake. But where was Josh?
